The Holiday Season

I Love December and all The fun things that it brings! This Year it has been even more exciting cause Its Mike and I's first Christmas together (married) It has been lots of fun and adventurous!
So Mikes family has a tradition where they go find there own Christmas tree and cut it down. So we decided we would still be there for that tradition. Mikes cute mom bought us a tag so that we could cut down our own christmas tree. I was really excited cause I have never hunted for my own christmas tree.  My family just has a fake tree and thats just how its been so, I have never done anything like this. So we went out into the Mountains on a Snowy day with Mikes family and we were ready to look for our tree! Well the snow was really deep and a lot of it the further you got up the worse obviously so we finally decided to stop driving and to just start looking where we were at. Well to make a long story short a car comes flying by us and then the next thing you know he gets stuck so then we try to help him get unstuck and that took a great amount of time. ha Anyways, we start looking for trees and mike and I found our cute little tree! We thought it was so little and perfect. So we cut it down..(I will have pics of that later they are on his phone at the moment) At this point my legs are frozen and my feet feel like they are going to fall off.. it was freezing! At that point no one really cared what the tree looked like we just wanted to get warm! Then Mikes family found there tree and then we tied the trees to the car and were on our way down the mountains! On our way down more people were stuck..I think the majority of our time was helping people get unstuck!  It was adventurous and fun and I like that tradition! I think Mike and I will keep that one for sure. So we got our tree up to our house thanks to mikes brother Tim. And we pull our tree inside and the tree that use to be so little all the sudden it was huge!! Our house is little so everything seems bigger in our house. Then we realized the trees branches were all different lengths and so we knew we had to do some trimming to it and make it look pretty. I swear when we cut it down it was perfect...so we went to the store and bought some ornaments and things for our tree. Luckly we got Christmas lights for one of our wedding gifts...yeah at the time I was like umm thats super interesting But they came in handy! So really any gift you get for your wedding will one day come in handy! We got our tree all up and finished! Its fun to have our first tree and our first christmas together! As Always I love my husband he is the best! being married is the bomb!! Now we are on our way to California for Christmas with Mikes family!! Im so excited to just have a little break! Christmas away from home will be weird, I'll miss my family and my families traditions but it will all be so fun!!  Heres a few pics...

Blessings!!

Recently I have just been feeling so amazingly blessed! Sometimes its so overwhelming I don't even know how to express it. I find myself thinking of my life while driving to work or school and tears just start running down my face Im so grateful for everything!! Lately I have been feeling SO much love for my husband. I obviously always love him but its been just crazy amounts of love. I told him the other night "I just love you so much I don't know what to do with all of it." He just smiles and kisses me. The second he leaves me for work or I leave him for work or whatever it may be I miss him so much. And sometimes I get so frustrated cause I Just always miss him! I hate the feeling of missing someone. ha But I guess seeing him again makes it ten times better. I have been pondering a lot about why people always tells me "Just wait, after a year it all goes down hill from there" I never get it. Yeah you aren't in the "honeymoon" stage of marriage but I cant even begin to see it all "go down hill" when every single day I love him more and more. I think a lot about this comment and a lot about my relationship with my husband. I see how happy we both are and how our love grows more and more each day. Yeah we have only been married for 3 months now, but I have known him for 7 years and I still adore him. But I have come to the conclusion that the reason mike and I are so happy and life is great is because we have the gospel in our lives 100%. I remember before we got married that we agreed we were going to live the gospel to the fullest and always have it in our lives. It has been the most amazing blessing. Going to the temple with my husband Is my favorite thing in the world! I absolutely love it. It brings so many blessings into our lives and I know it makes us grow stronger together as a couple. Im so grateful for the temple. Mike is my biggest example of fully living the gospel and I love it. Im truly so blessed to have such an amazing husband and an amazing best friend. I know that if we keep doing this throughout our life it wont go down hill ever it will only go up and our relationship will always be amazing. yeah hard times are bound to happen but we work through it together as a team.

Another thing that has happened is my little Niece Aili had to get another procedure done. She had to get a stent put in and they werent  sure if it was going to work or not..Long story short everything went great!! That little girl is such a blessing to my family. And is so blessed. She is such a strong little girl! We love her so much!

Camo Hunt one our great friends just got back from his mission on wednesday. It is so fun to see him and talk to him and to see friends and be together again. We had a little group in high school and we would all hang out so its so fun to be together again and have fun with them. We are so happy he is home!! We love Camo! :)

Tyler, Mikes brother, will be getting home from Afghanistan here soon. We are so excited to have him home and home safe. We are so grateful for all that has done for our country. He has truly been watched over and protected and we could not be anymore grateful for his safety. We love ty and miss him and are excited to see him!

Well we are so blessed. We have the gospel, have amazing friends and family and we have each other. What more do we need?

Life Recently

Soo..Im obviously horrible at updating and its only my second post! Pretty much its because life is repetitive at the moment and nothing too new is happening. So I will try and think of things to write. Well first off Mike and I Spoke in church a couple weeks ago. Being new in the ward the bishop wanted people to get to know us so he had us talk. Both Mike and I don't really mind giving talks so It wasn't that bad at all. We both did great and everyone seemed to enjoy our talks. So we are happy that, that is over with and hopefully we wont have to talk for awhile. Our ward is so interesting. It is either you are really old or you are a young couple with a new baby. ha Sometimes It makes me think I need to have a child so I can fit in with all these young ladies that have babies.. But..no we don't need a child haha. During church I find myself just watching the little kids and telling mike all throughout church that I want a baby.. haha Mike is a very realistic person so he keeps me in line and tells me there is no way that can happen. ha And honestly I really don't want a child right now especially since We have only been married almost 3 months..haha no good. We want to have time to spend together for a while. Anyways, our ward is fun and its fun to get to know knew people. Scary sometimes but fun.

So I have been busy with school mostly. Im almost done with this program. I will be done in december and I am so excited to finally get a new job.  Just these last couple weeks we have been in the Lab at school doing lab work. We were doing blood work so we had to draw blood from each other which I absolutely hate a student drawing on me cause I hate needles...Im more than happy to draw the blood just don't poke me with a needle and we will be ok!! haha anyways, I love the lab work and looking in the microscope and counting the blood cells. So It has been really fun! Up next is urine...haha YAY!  So I have recently decided to get my degree in Exercise Science. Im a little nervous cause I don't think I am very smart. But Mike reassures me that I can do it and that he will help me. If any of you know Mike really well you know that he is just medically genius. Like really you ask him and medical question and he will give you an answer. He is so smart it blows my mind sometimes. He loves the medical field obviously, thats why he wants to go to med school. Lucky me for having a smart husband!! our kids have some kind of hope!! ;) So  The plan was that we were going to do this program together but I think mike is thinking about something else at the moment. Anyways so we will see how it all goes. Im a little nervous but excited. I know it has taken me a little longer than others to figure out what I want to do with my life schooling wise. So This is just another step I think closer to where I eventually will be. I have a hard time making decisions with my life at times so being a step closer is always great. Work, is another story...Recently I have been sooo negative towards going to work its so bad. I find myself just wishing I didn't have to work and could just be a full time student. and just do school. Obviously that would never work being newly married trying to pay for things. haha I am more than happy to help out, thats not the problem Its just Im sick of working where I work. I try to keep positive though cause just a few more months and I will be done. And I know that I will miss the people and the job because it always happens. So Im trying to enjoy it while I have it for a little bit. Im just excited to move on and be somewhere new! Mike is still loving his job and his one class that he is taking this semester.

Halloween has never been anything exciting to me except for when I was little..I just never really have got why we celebrate it. Its just kind of a weird Holiday to be honest. But anyways this year I had to work Halloween night. Mike had school so..needless to say our halloween was lame. ha But I was thinking and if we weren't at school or work it would have probably been lame anyways. So I didn't really mind working Halloween. Im just glad its over and we get to move forward to another holiday...which thanksgiving isn't even that great either for me. I love the company and the family part and why we celebrate but the whole food thing...Im not a fan of thanksgiving food. I would much rather have a costa vida salad than turkey and potatoes. But Im crazy! Im just really excited for christmas!! I love it! :)

So I had to get my braces back on grrrr I hate them. But its ok I think I'm close to almost done. My orthodontist was nice enough to take my top ones off for our wedding so I didn't have braces in all my pics. But It was hard to put them back on after having them off for awhile. So Now Im a brace face and literally look like I'm 13. No wonder people always tell me I look way too young to be married. Oh well, they should be off soon I hope.

One last thing. Mikes little sister asked us if we would run a half marathon with her....and we agreed. So we are now trying to get our butts in to shape for that. We both have always wanted to do one so we are excited. So that should be fun! We will see how training for it goes.

Well thats all for now I think that gives a pretty good update with what we are doing nothing too exciting! Sorry its so long I guess I did have things to write about after all! Anyways things are great I love my husband and we are happy!! Life is good! :)

The Married Life

So, I guess now that Im married I should have a blog.. Facebook gets boring, my Husband and I have completely different schedules, so I figure this will keep me entertained sometimes!

I guess I will start this off by Telling you about Mike and I. We met when we were in 9th grade. Dated all through high school. After high school Mike went on a mission to Alaska and Loved it! While Mike was on his mission I was going to school, working, and...trying to figure things out. Haha we can put it that way. Mike got home from his mission 8 months ago! When he got home we had a lot of things to figure out but we did. He proposed to me and now we are married!!! We got married August 10,2012 in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. We had an amazing day and are so thankful for everyone who came and supported us on our special day. The Temple was full of scaffolding and all sorts of construction. Everyone would ask if I cared or how I felt about it, and honestly It didn't really bug me. Yeah of course I would have loved to have the temple looking normal and not orange for pictures, but I was just SO excited for the ceremony and what would take place inside the temple that day. The ceremony was amazing and the most beautiful thing I have ever taken place in. The feeling in that very moment is the most incredible feeling and so hard to describe.  Mike and I often talk about that moment and how amazing it was. After the ceremony nothing else mattered. I didn't care if anything went wrong, or if something happened I was just so happy to Finally be sealed to my best friend and to start life together.
Mike and I went on our honeymoon to mexico on a cruise. We had so much fun on the cruise. We loved not doing anything, not having any responsibilities, and just enjoying the sun and being together. We had so much fun and wish we could go back!! (we will for sure one day!)

So now mike and I are living in Salt Lake in a tiny little apartment. We love it! It is so fun to be off on our own and living life together and figuring things out together. I think my favorite part about it all is that we do things together! I love working with him as a team. We make a good team. We always have ever since I met him we just have worked so well together. Anyways, we love where we live. Mike was blessed to find a job as a Phlebotomist Orderly In the Hospital up here. (IMC) He really loves it and its been a great blessing for us. I work at Costa Vida in a American Fork...yeah its a drive...Not loving it but Its what works for us right now. Mike and I are both at SLCC Im in a Medical Assisting Program and will be done in December! Thank goodness then I say Bye To Costa finally!! I really cant wait for something new and something closer to my house! Mike is just taking all his classes that he needs so he can apply for Med school. So we have a lot of schooling to look forward to but we are excited for the future and what it will bring us.

I think that is pretty much it for now. Today is our 2 month anniversary!! haha. I could not be more blessed to have him as my husband. I truly love him so much and everyday is such a blessing.
