The Time Has Come For A Change!

So, As I have mentioned in earlier posts Mike and I have been talking about moving. We weren't really looking so seriously we were just trying to figure out if it was the right thing to do and when we should move and all that stuff. So Then we Decided to call a few people and go look and see. Again we weren't so entirely sure. So We went to the first place in PG and right when we pulled in I knew it was definitely a no. It was just muddy and the people just had junk everywhere and I would literally go crazy. I grew up in a spotless clean organized home and It kind of has stuck with me. So Even before we saw inside the house it was a no. Then we got inside. The Kitchen was a nice size. then the two bedrooms were huge with huge closets. I loved those bedrooms. But The thing About my husband and I, is we are usually always on the same page or get the same feelings. We were in the room and he looks at me and shakes his head no and I smiled to agree with him and then we were done. So At this point we were thinking maybe it isn't right. We have been praying to know what to do and the answer we felt was basically, Its up to you type thing. So We just decided if something comes up and it happens, then Its the right thing to do. So We had one more number to call and I wasn't going to be able to go cause I had to work. So Mike went on his own

The Place that we are in right now Mike picked out and I didn't see it until after he told our Landlord he wanted it. And So This time was the same type of deal. I told him if he liked it then tell the guy you will take it. I trust him 100% he knows what we both like. So Mike went and looked at it. It is in American Fork in a perfect location for us. It has a hug living room, a big kitchen 2 big bedrooms and a decent size bathroom. Mike loved it so after he filled out an application and told the Landlord that he wanted it, the Landlord said well I have 50 applications right now, but you are at the top of the list. When Mike told me this I was excited. I had a feeling we had a really good chance of getting the place. Then we started thinking about how soon we would actually be moving. We would be moving in about a week and a half is we got this place. And how quick that was going to be.  So now it was the waiting game to see if we got it or not.

Well It wasn't that long of a waiting game. 2 days later Mike got a text saying that we got it. He text me at work letting me know and I wanted to just scream from pure happiness. But I kept it under control. Now remember at this point I haven't even seen the inside of this place. But later that day we met up with the Landlord and I got to see the place and look around and I love it. We signed our agreement and paid the Landlord. We officially have a new home! We are really excited.

The place we are in right now has been awesome! It was literally and answer to our prayers and we couldn't be more grateful we had this place as our first home together. Our Landlord is awesome. The neighborhood is awesome our ward is so great. So This will be a bitter sweet thing for us. It will be weird not living in Salt Lake anymore. It will be weird being so close to our families and for me it will be weird not driving 30 mins to get to work. We have enjoyed our home in SLC and it was really good for us to start out our marriage here.

The reason we were thinking about moving in the first place is because we spent all our free time in Utah county and I still work in Utah county. So We were down there all the time! And the only time we were in SLC at our home was to sleep. So that is why we have decided to move. And our families are closer down there. So we will be moving in about a week. Everything happened so fast and quick but we know that when it is right, it is right and you just go with it. That seems to be how things work out with our life so far Things fall into place but they fall into place very quickly!  We feel really blessed and we are really excited for our new adventure together! We cant wait!!

February!!

So Its crazy that its the end of February. Time is going so quick its insane. I guess keeping busy makes everything go so fast! I will try and remember all the events that have happened this month.
So we are still in school. We are doing well and really just cant wait for this semester to be done and for the snow to leave. We are both so sick of the snow! I have loved having a study buddy for all my classes. It helps so much to have someone else there to help. I love it and even better its my husband! Sometimes we may get a little frustrated with each other. We have both learned we are horrible teachers. But when Its all said and done, its great and I love it. Work is just, work...nothing new there. Everything is going well with both work and school.
Mike had a Birthday this month. So we tried to celebrate it. But we both worked and had school so it was a bit hard. But I made him a Birthday breakfast and then he went to work, and I went to work. Then we went to school. And I went a bought him cupcakes because I felt bad he didn't have a cake and candles to blow out, So I bought candles too so I came to school and sang him happy birthday with a cute little cupcake. I just wanted to make him feel special in some kind of way.
Mikes Grandma (Ivan Side) Passed away. So we made another trip to Cali for her funeral. We celebrated our Valentines day in the car...It was ok at least we were together.  The Funeral was really nice and Im really glad we got to be there. We are so thankful for the knowledge of the gospel that we have and the peace that it brings to us. The rest of the time in Cali we spent with Mikes Other grandparents and we celebrated Mikes Birthday and Mikes brothers Birthday. They had there Birthday while out in Cali. We went to Knotts Berry Farms and had a good time there. Another Cali trip that was a success. I swear right now it feels like Cali is our second home because we have been there 4 times in the last 6 months. This last time when we were there it was 80 degrees. So coming back to Utah weather really sucked so bad! We want summer!
Our cute friends Cameron and Sky finally got engaged! We are so excited for them and excited to attend another wedding. We love them and cant wait!
My Cute Niece Aili had to go in for another Cath. Its always scary when she has to get something done. I really hate it because It actually just breaks my heart that something so innocent and little has to go through what she goes through. I hate thinking about it so all mike and I can do Is pray that everything goes well. This time they had a couple scares but everything turned out ok. So we are glad and thankful that everything is all right. We love her so much as well as our other Niece and Nephew. It is so fun to have Nieces and Nephews. Aili also had a birthday this month so I was able to go to her little birthday party. It was fun to see how she reacted to everything. Its crazy that she is already 1. So this month we celebrated lots of Birthdays!
So one random day I was just feeling in my mouth with my tongue and all the sudden I felt something really hard on the left top side of my mouth..op there is my wisdom tooth I have been waiting to grow in( I only have one, Luckily) So then I decided I had to get it out because I obviously didn't want it to move my teeth cause then these braces would be pointless. So Mike scheduled me an appointment to get it out. It just happened to be the same day I got my braces tightened...and we had a math test. So that day was kind of interesting. I was really nervous to get my wisdom tooth pulled out for some reason. But I went in there and did it and it wasn't that bad. Other then when the Dentist said the shot would feel like a little pinch I wanted to let him know that it wasn't a pinch It was more like a stab...But other than that it was good. Kind of gross hearing my roots getting ripped a part but its ok It was over in literally 2 mins. now I'm just sitting here with gauze in my mouth and meds in my system. So we are good. When I went to my Ortho App. I got good news.. These braces will be off April 16. FINALLY Im so excited to get these things off. I don't know how people have them for like 5 years...even 2. I would go nuts. Im just sick of them. So I am excited about that.
This month we have been sick. It was mike and his whole family and then now I have finally gotten it. So its been a great month of sickness...Trying to get over it and It totally sucks. What can you do?
I think this month more than ever Mike and I have realized how weird we are. We are SO weird together. Seriously if we had a camera recording us together not in public...people would be in aw... BUT that is why we have so much together. Seriously there is never a dull moment I love it. I love that we can both be our weird selves together and we get each other. It is so fun and I love it, and I love him for that. We have been married 6 months and it has been SO great. Seriously the best six months. I know everyone says that, but really its true it has been the best! February has treated us well. we are so blessed and thankful for all that we have!

*We are trying to find a place to live in Utah county so keep your eyes open and let us know if anything is available.
*My little Brother Jason should be getting his call here soon!! Cant wait!

Busy Busy Busy!!

So just when I thought life was already pretty crazy, It just got a million times crazier. School started so that has been something that has made it so crazy. I swear all we are ever doing is homework.

So I started working the Day shift and then Mike and I are taking classes together at night this semester. I love being with him every night it is the best thing! Last semester we Hardly got to see each other during the week so this change is definitely a good one, but it is crazy!  We Go straight from work to school then to bed. Our weekends consist of homework. We want to go out with friends but we have to discipline ourselves. Its much easier to do that when your spouse is doing the same homework as you. We are both taking a lot of credits this semester so we have to keep on top of everything. And by the end of the week all we want to do is lay down and do absolutely nothing.

This last sunday we got home from church it was a blizzard outside so we decided to stay in SLC and not to go down to our families houses. We stayed in, laid on the couch, and turned Netflix on. We started watching "Flying Alaska" Mike served a mission in Alaska so, we decided to watch it and its good for me to see a little of Alaska. Anyways we turned on the first episode at 6 pm we both took little power naps but continued to watch it. Next thing I knew it was 10 pm we haven't moved from the couch and we were on episode 9 out of 12. we almost finished the whole season. The funny thing is, is that, its not really even a great Series or anything we were just both SO tired from our week. It was pretty funny when I realized we just sat there all day watching people fly airplanes for 4 hours.

This last week my parents went to Cabo ( those little bums) So they asked us to stay at there house for the week. So we were down in Utah County all week long. It was such a crazy and hectic week. Working everyday including saturday and school was nuts I have never felt so exhausted. Mike was feeling the same way. It was nice to stay there and spend some time with my little brothers. Even though we didn't see them too much cause of our schedules, It was fun. Mike and I have been thinking to move back to Utah County and after being there for a week we just want to move back so bad! Salt Lake is great and its been so good for us. We love our home and everything but It just feels like home down there. So We are still deciding on what to do and what would be best for us so no guarantees yet on what we will do. Its just an option.

Besides being crazy busy everyday between work, school, and our church callings we are doing awesome! We are having fun and still very in love. Every one gives us a hard time for always kissing, cuddling, and being lovey, but we cant help it! We just love each other thats all there is to it! And I dont think the loveiness will ever stop, so get use to it people because I love my husband!! :)

Anyways that is a short update and if we seem like we have fallen off the face of the earth, we are probably doing homework and being unsocial.

New Years!

....Obviously I have a lot of time on my hands because I've been blogging! Having no school is so weird! I sleep in everyday I wake up at exactly 10 every single morning. I hate it! I just feel like I've wasted so much time..then I think well what would I have done if I woke up earlier? My house is clean and everything is done so..I guess sleep is good. This next semester will be busy and crazy so I will enjoy the sleep while I have it.

So new years eve was a good day I guess..I had to work that night so I was at work until about 11..something.. Mike picked me up we got to my parents house at 11:30 and got ready for the fireworks. My dad loves fireworks! It was freezing and cold but It was fun! I was all bundled up and the best part about it was my husband was right there by my side! it was all going good until someone decided to hand mike a punk (a stick thing that stays really hot) Anyways It looks cool when you blow on it cause then It gets really red and so I decided to blow really hard on it and the ashes sprayed in mikes face so his reaction was to hit me in the face with a hot stick...It hit my lip so my lip is now burned! It was actually really hilarious and we laughed for a good while. He felt bad. My cute husband is the biggest teddy bear and I love it! Then we stayed there until about 1:30 am and decided to go home and get to bed. The next day either of us had to work so we cleaned our house took our cute tree down and got things organized. So we just hung out all day watched football literally all day and we went to his families house for a new years dinner! It was yummy!! We are excited for the new year and what it will bring us! It was fun to be together this holiday season and cant wait to spend every holiday every year with him. He is the best!!

California Trip & Our First Christmas

We went to California this year for Christmas! It was really Nice to get away for a little bit in a new atmosphere and to be with Mikes side of the Family. The one thing I hate most about Vacations is that they throw off your normal schedule. So when Im on vacation I always feel like I need to be doing something when I dont. It just always throws me off. But this vacation I didn't even have time to sit and feel this way we were constantly going 24/7 and it was SO tiring but lots of fun!

We got to California on the Friday before Christmas. We flew in at about 9 pm Cali time so we were already pretty tired just cause that day we did a lot before we left so, we got to his Grandmas house and we talked for a bit and then ended up going to sleep. We woke up the next day got ready went to the airport and picked up mikes family. We went home ate some lunch and then went to visit other relatives and then went to mikes Aunts house for dinner. We stayed there until about 11 pm and didn't get home until 11:30 then went straight to bed. The next day we woke up early...well the majority of us did . And then we were off to see Mikes dads side of the family. We went to mikes cousins house and her little boy was the cutest thing! So cute! Then we went over to the Rehabilitation center his grandma was at to see her. His grandma isn't doing so well and so we wanted to see her. It broke my heart when I saw her. I don't even know her and my heart just went out to her. It was a really hard visit for me, Im not sure why I just think seeing someone look the way she did was so hard for me. She cant do anything for herself she cant swallow anything so she has to be fed by a tube its just so sad. When we were there she started to choke and so they actually had to take her to the Hospital. Either of mikes sides of the family are of the same faith as us so when Mikes dad Went in and asked if they could give her a Preisthood blessing I was interested to see what they would say. They said yes so Mike and His dad went and gave her a blessing. I didn't hear the Blessing my husband gave but I was watching it from out in the hall. The Spirit touched me so much and I was just so Thankful for the preisthood. Im so thankful for my husband who honors his Preisthood and uses it. What a blessing it is to our family, to have it in my home is the most amazing gift.  That moment was my very favorite moment of that day and such a testimony builder for me. I know Mike was grateful for that opportunity. I asked him if he ever thought he would have given his grandma a blessing in his life. He said nope not really.. Im glad he got that opportunity. His grandam got all stabilized and was doing ok. We then made our way to Mikes cousins house. Which is his dads sisters house. It was nice to meet all her kids and grandkids. They were lots of fun. We played Just dance(Not only at there house we played it all throughout this vacation) We took Videos of each other it was so funny. I promised I wouldn't post this to facebook...but it is going on the blog! Sorry Ty,Mike and Jared. But it was awesome!

So we were there for like the whole day. We didn't leave until really late and so we got home and again went straight to bed. We woke up the next day and it was christmas eve. Mikes grandma throws a huge party with all of the fam so while she was getting ready for that we went Ice Skating. It was so much fun, I haven't been for awhile so it was fun. Then we got home everyone started showing up and it was a party. Lots of games going on, talking, just dance, karaoke...things like that. it was a fun time good to see people and meet new people. It was lots of fun and then we opened gifts. Im thankful for mikes grandma and grandpa and the wonderful gifts they gave me. they didn't have to do that but they are so sweet and so kind. It was fun to watch everyone open gifts. Thats my favorite part about Christmas is watching people recieve. I love it. The party went all night and I was exhausted and so when everyone left I just went straight to bed. We woke up Christmas morning at 10:00.....Who wakes up Christmas Morning at 10? I have never in my life slept that long on Christmas day. But It felt so good!! Then we got stockings, Mikes Grandma is so cute! Then opened more gifts (Thank you Steve and Pam for the gift! Means a lot to us!) And then Mike and I had a flight to catch cause we both had to be back for work the next day. We got packed and ready and got to the airport and we were on our way home to cold Utah. We got home Stopped by our house to grab the Presents my parents gave us and went down there to see them and to open the presents. So we got there opened the presents and visited.(Thank you Mom and Dad for the presents! We got spoiled!) Mike got me a new Chi straightner and socks! Such a good husband who listens to his wife! haha. I got Mike some tools(so he can hang my pictures) and a new Computer desk (so our room can look more organized) see Im a smart wife I buy Presents that benefit the both of us! ;) jk.. anyways,  I missed my Family a lot on Christmas. It was a bit hard for me being away just cause I missed all of our traditions. Its weird when you do something different all of the sudden. So it was good to see them. I have figured out I get homesick..mostly from my mom. She is the greatest lady alive. One day I can only hope to be like her. That wont happen but I can wish. So anyways it was a good way to end our christmas. We left my parents house late and got home late and again went straight to bed. We were so exhausted! It felt so good to be in our own bed and in our house. It was freezing cold but felt good to be home. Im thankful we could go out to California and visit those that we don't see very often and to spend time with them. Mikes family is awesome! They are so nice and so welcoming I couldn't of asked for a better family to marry into. Im so grateful for that. Our first christmas was a success and the trip was awesome. I have never been so exhausted, and eaten so much food in all my life, But it was great!! We are so thankful for our families and all that they do for us. We are grateful for the gospel in our lives and how much it blesses us. Most of all we are grateful for the birth of our savior and the atoning sacrifice he made for all of us. We hope your christmas was just as great as ours!! Next up...NEW YEARS!!

The Holiday Season

I Love December and all The fun things that it brings! This Year it has been even more exciting cause Its Mike and I's first Christmas together (married) It has been lots of fun and adventurous!
So Mikes family has a tradition where they go find there own Christmas tree and cut it down. So we decided we would still be there for that tradition. Mikes cute mom bought us a tag so that we could cut down our own christmas tree. I was really excited cause I have never hunted for my own christmas tree.  My family just has a fake tree and thats just how its been so, I have never done anything like this. So we went out into the Mountains on a Snowy day with Mikes family and we were ready to look for our tree! Well the snow was really deep and a lot of it the further you got up the worse obviously so we finally decided to stop driving and to just start looking where we were at. Well to make a long story short a car comes flying by us and then the next thing you know he gets stuck so then we try to help him get unstuck and that took a great amount of time. ha Anyways, we start looking for trees and mike and I found our cute little tree! We thought it was so little and perfect. So we cut it down..(I will have pics of that later they are on his phone at the moment) At this point my legs are frozen and my feet feel like they are going to fall off.. it was freezing! At that point no one really cared what the tree looked like we just wanted to get warm! Then Mikes family found there tree and then we tied the trees to the car and were on our way down the mountains! On our way down more people were stuck..I think the majority of our time was helping people get unstuck!  It was adventurous and fun and I like that tradition! I think Mike and I will keep that one for sure. So we got our tree up to our house thanks to mikes brother Tim. And we pull our tree inside and the tree that use to be so little all the sudden it was huge!! Our house is little so everything seems bigger in our house. Then we realized the trees branches were all different lengths and so we knew we had to do some trimming to it and make it look pretty. I swear when we cut it down it was perfect...so we went to the store and bought some ornaments and things for our tree. Luckly we got Christmas lights for one of our wedding gifts...yeah at the time I was like umm thats super interesting But they came in handy! So really any gift you get for your wedding will one day come in handy! We got our tree all up and finished! Its fun to have our first tree and our first christmas together! As Always I love my husband he is the best! being married is the bomb!! Now we are on our way to California for Christmas with Mikes family!! Im so excited to just have a little break! Christmas away from home will be weird, I'll miss my family and my families traditions but it will all be so fun!!  Heres a few pics...

Blessings!!

Recently I have just been feeling so amazingly blessed! Sometimes its so overwhelming I don't even know how to express it. I find myself thinking of my life while driving to work or school and tears just start running down my face Im so grateful for everything!! Lately I have been feeling SO much love for my husband. I obviously always love him but its been just crazy amounts of love. I told him the other night "I just love you so much I don't know what to do with all of it." He just smiles and kisses me. The second he leaves me for work or I leave him for work or whatever it may be I miss him so much. And sometimes I get so frustrated cause I Just always miss him! I hate the feeling of missing someone. ha But I guess seeing him again makes it ten times better. I have been pondering a lot about why people always tells me "Just wait, after a year it all goes down hill from there" I never get it. Yeah you aren't in the "honeymoon" stage of marriage but I cant even begin to see it all "go down hill" when every single day I love him more and more. I think a lot about this comment and a lot about my relationship with my husband. I see how happy we both are and how our love grows more and more each day. Yeah we have only been married for 3 months now, but I have known him for 7 years and I still adore him. But I have come to the conclusion that the reason mike and I are so happy and life is great is because we have the gospel in our lives 100%. I remember before we got married that we agreed we were going to live the gospel to the fullest and always have it in our lives. It has been the most amazing blessing. Going to the temple with my husband Is my favorite thing in the world! I absolutely love it. It brings so many blessings into our lives and I know it makes us grow stronger together as a couple. Im so grateful for the temple. Mike is my biggest example of fully living the gospel and I love it. Im truly so blessed to have such an amazing husband and an amazing best friend. I know that if we keep doing this throughout our life it wont go down hill ever it will only go up and our relationship will always be amazing. yeah hard times are bound to happen but we work through it together as a team.

Another thing that has happened is my little Niece Aili had to get another procedure done. She had to get a stent put in and they werent  sure if it was going to work or not..Long story short everything went great!! That little girl is such a blessing to my family. And is so blessed. She is such a strong little girl! We love her so much!

Camo Hunt one our great friends just got back from his mission on wednesday. It is so fun to see him and talk to him and to see friends and be together again. We had a little group in high school and we would all hang out so its so fun to be together again and have fun with them. We are so happy he is home!! We love Camo! :)

Tyler, Mikes brother, will be getting home from Afghanistan here soon. We are so excited to have him home and home safe. We are so grateful for all that has done for our country. He has truly been watched over and protected and we could not be anymore grateful for his safety. We love ty and miss him and are excited to see him!

Well we are so blessed. We have the gospel, have amazing friends and family and we have each other. What more do we need?
